"Bio Top Pee Wee"
acrylic on movie poster
41 x 27 inches
$250.00
Yes, I turned Pee Wee into a Splicer from Bioshock, the best game in the world (in my humble opinion).
Pee Wee was my hero growing up; I religiously watched him every Saturday morning and still watch his Christmas Special every year. Believe it or not, I still use the original VHS tape of the special that my parents recorded off TV for me 21 (!!!!) years ago!
Damn, I love me some Pee Wee Christmas Special.
I even remember crying harder when my dad told me that Pee Wee didn't exist than I did when I found out that there was no Santa Claus.
I was very excited that I was getting a Pee Wee poster to work with, but I was stumped on how to transform the poster. Justin and I were a LITTLE busy these past six months (moving cross country, buying our first house, getting new jobs and cars and getting married!) so this poster sat in it's tube for a few months.
I finally had the epiphany to combine two of my favorite things- Pee Wee and a Splicer from Bioshock.
Pee Wee is complete with his hypo of Eve, his pistol and his butterfly mask. I also think that his deranged expression perfectly fits the mood. I love this poster and hope that you do too.
